What about UA plugin support for ARA 2? I can't see it. So it seems less likely that there will be a tidal wave of ARA 2 support in DAWs or plugins soon. Here we are at the end of July and still little product has been released. In the same press release, Celemony said they were hoping for a Spring release. While I am partially speculating, this probably has a lot to do with how the plugin format (VST, AU, RTAS, etc.) implements ARA. What is true is that with ARA, editing with Melodyne is very fast. So we still don't know what the improvements and new features will look like in Logic's implementation of Melodyne. And there is no version of ARA 1 that works with AU plugins. But Celemony is still beta testing the 2.0 version that works with Logic. It has been released and it comes with ARA 2 support. To understand just how confusing the rollout is, look at Logic Pro 10.4. However, to get Pro Tools support, RTAS would need to have a specific ARA implementation. With acceptance of ARA growing, at some point it may come to Pro Tools.
